| Ah! My brain is leaking out of my ears! Can we pleeeease have a day off??? | | |
| It would make you laugh if I said everything from my last post has been sorted out, is in proper order, and that what happened is now in the past. I like making people laugh, so that's exactly what I'm going to say, and I even get to be telling the truth in doing so. Life is good. Everything at the restaurant is fixed (but the actual details are more lengthy than that which merits a full xanga post on a late night), and shockingly, most shockingly of all...Staples and I are getting along rather well. Obviously this didn't happen 1-2-3. Let's just say the owner of Braconi's is amazing at conflict resolution, seeing through motives and different personalities, as well as creating win-win situations. That's our Vilma.

What a day it has been. This morning was a year ago. So much negativity ran amok. G-d help the world. Honestly, not everything today was bad. The car show was great (anything with her ("my" Latin Lady) is great), and talking to Sra. Wunderlich and her husband at work after Sra Atienza had talked about me extremely positively satisfied my achievement bug. But the two negatives took the cake. Family problems and a nasty co-worker can ruin anyone's day. And make one just want to lie down and go to sleep, cry, or curl up in a little ball. Or do enriched chem extra credit around midnight. I choose to be positive. I'll do the chem. (Ego Amo Catherinam)
| So the past few months I've been really unsure about what I'm taking next year. I tend to worry about stuff like that because it shapes the year (not only what you're studying, but who you're studying it with - for example, my stint sophomore year from International Business to Study Hall to Ancient History; it's where I met all my frosh friends). Not only that, but it is the last year here. I feel confident that this is what I'll be taking: - A.P. Biology
- A.P. English Literature & Composition
- Humanities
- Creative Writing (Must get that fine arts credit and have an excuse to have Rossi again!)
- Spanish 5
- Chinese 2
- A.P. Microeconomics
- A.P. Macroeconomics
I definitely don't need any more social studies credits (by the end of this year I'll already have 4.5!!!), but I've heard one too many "I doubled up on A.P. Biology and A.P. Chemistry and it was a nightmare" stories to consider taking both AP science classes. I decided I'll take anthropology classes in college, and that I don't need to bother with taking it here (being a mix of 3 grade levels and being unweighted, which is a significant factor for me at the moment). Anybody taking the classes I'm taking?
